  • Please read all instructions carefully before submitting your completed scholarship application. All applicants will receive notification of their application status on or before May 25, 2026. Incomplete applications or those missing required documents may not be considered.

  • Eligibility Requirements
    Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered for the Simeon Alumni Association Scholarship:

    1. Be a graduating senior of Simeon Career Academy for the Class of 2026.
    2. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
    3. Demonstrate involvement in school activities, community service, leadership, or employment.
    4. Plan to enroll in an accredited college, university, trade school, or apprenticeship program for the 2026–2027 academic year.
    5. Submit a complete application with all required documents by the stated deadline.
      These criteria ensure fairness, transparency, and alignment with the mission of the Simeon Alumni Association Scholarship Program.

    If selected, you may be asked to provide documentation supporting the information submitted. All correspondence and award agreements will be generated from the personal information you provide, so please use proper spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.


    Important Dates
    Application Opens: Sunday, March 15, 2026
    Application Deadline: April 30, 2026
    Finalist Notifications: May 25, 2026
    Award Announcements: June 5, 2026
    Scholarship Ceremony: June 14, 2026
    Disbursement: Upon proof of enrollment

    Required Documents
    A complete application must include the following materials:

    1. Completed Scholarship Application Form
    2. Official High School Transcript-responding to the prompt provided
    3. One Academic Recommendation Letter (teacher, counselor, or administrator)
    4. One Character/Community Recommendation Letter (coach, mentor, employer, clergy, etc.; no relatives)
    5. Personal Essay (300–500 words) responding to the prompt provided
      Proof of College, Trade School, or Apprenticeship Application or Acceptance (if available)
    6. Résumé outlining activities, service, leadership, and/or work experience
    7. Community Service Verification (if applicable)
    8. Headshot Photo for recognition purposes (optional but encouraged)
      All documents must be submitted by the deadline for the application to be reviewed.


    Important Information for Applicants
    It is strongly recommended that all applicants review how this award may affect their existing financial aid package before submitting an application. The Simeon Alumni Association Scholarship(s) may be awarded in addition to, replace, or be combined with current aid offerings, depending on each student’s eligibility and demonstrated need.

  • ACT scores are not required for scholarship eligibility. However, providing an ACT score can increase the likelihood of your selection as compared to other candidates.
  • All scholarship applicants reporting an ACT score will be asked to provide official verification.
  • VI. Tiered Scholarships

  • The Simeon Alumni Association uses a tiered scholarship model, along with awards funded by private donors. Some scholarships are designed to support students who represent specific backgrounds, experiences, or characteristics. Please review the qualifiers below and select all that apply to you. Sharing this information is optional, but it may increase your eligibility for certain donor‑designated or mission‑aligned scholarships.


    If you are selected for a scholarship based on any qualifier you identify, you may be asked to provide documentation to verify eligibility.

  • Please write a brief essay responding to one of the topics below. Your response helps the Scholarship Committee learn more about your goals, experiences, and readiness for your next steps after graduation.
