    2026-2027 Letter of Interest
  • The Village of Key Biscayne is now accepting applications from residents/organizations for programs that bring a positive and beneficial impact for the Key Biscayne community.  It's now easier than ever to form a community group. Simply complete the "Letter of Interest" form to begin.

    How It Works:

    This program is for the community, by the community, and driven by passionate residents like you! If you have identified a need, have an exciting idea, or want to create a special experience, we want to hear from you.

    Submit your idea by May 8, 2026 to be considered for funding in the upcoming 2026-2027 season (October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027).

    Over the years, this initiative has helped bring incredible resident-led projects to life for all to benefit. Now, it’s your turn!

    How To Apply:

    Complete the Letter-of-Interest application below and tell us all about your idea! Be sure to outline how the funds will be used and detail what support or resources you’ll need to make it happen. (Note: Notifications regarding selection can take several months; typically, late September to early October.) 

    Village Goals:

    When completing the form, you will want to detail what Village goals and/or objectives your program or event advances. See Village Goals. 

    Submission Window: April 1 – May 8, 2026, at 4:00 PM

    Your project, program, or event should clearly fall within at least one of the following focus areas.

    Apply For Funding:

    If your group or organization wishes to have Village funding in the 2026-2027 fiscal year, please complete the "Letter of Interest" form below and click "submit". To be considered, your program or project must directly benefit the Village of Key Biscayne and its residents and meet the criteria spelled out below. DEADLINE to submit is May 8, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

  • Criteria

    Please carefully review our criteria below before completing the application.
  • Criteria for Funding: Proposals are evaluated based on proper alignment with the Village of Key Biscayne’s strategic goals. Submitted proposal should demonstrate how the organization will use funding to advance cultural enrichment, historical preservation, community engagement, civic development, special‑needs support, and environmental well‑being while delivering substantial benefits to residents through programs held within the Village municipality.

    Applicants must show that their project enhances community vitality, is well planned and achievable within the fiscal year, and is supported by organizational experience, resources, and a realistic budget that may include leveraged funding. Proposals should highlight community collaboration, volunteer involvement, and adherence to program rules.

     

    NOTE: Proposals that involve direct or indirect funding to charitable organization, sport related events or competitions/tournaments, or tutoring will not be considered for this program. 

    Budget spending is limited to the fiscal funding period (October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027).
