• 2026 Neighborhood Creative Arts Residency Registration

The Neighborhood Creative Arts Residency Project will offer local artists and curious creatives of all levels the opportunity to work and explore in three artistic mediums. For musicians: a 3 hour recording session in our barn studio. For writers: a 3 day writing workshop held by a professional writer; and for any locals, a storytelling archival project at Looking Glass Arts.

Writing Project Mon - Wed, July 6-8

Local writers will attend a 3 day writing workshop led by a professional writer. All genres of writing are welcome. The workshops will allow amateur writers the opportunity to get feedback on existing works, explore the development of those works, get inspiration for new projects, and learn about form, function, research, handling writer’s block, and more.

Recording Project Sat & Sun July 11-12, 3 hour sessions

Musicians will bring their own instrument(s) to their session (drummers will have access to our house kit) with no more than a 5 piece band. While we have no piano, you are welcome to bring your own keyboard. People will be able to record a short work or song within their 2 hour time slot. The third hour of their session will allow the engineer to create rough mixes of their recordings, allowing each artist/group to leave with their music mixed and ready to be shared publicly.

Story Telling Project Sat & Sun, July 18-19, 30-60 minute sessions

This program will invite local residents of West Fulton to tell a story about their life in West Fulton. People of all ages are welcome to tell their story on their own or with one other person. Each session will be up to 30 minutes and later be edited into an engaging narrative maintaining the personal voice of each participant. Looking Glass Arts will compile a mixed and mastered file of all the stories and donate the final product to the West Fulton Historical Society.
