2027 Artist Submissions
  • APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY APRIL 15, 2026 | 11:59pm EST

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE COMPLETING YOUR SUBMISSION

globalFEST, founded in 2003, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to move international music and regional American music into the center of the performing arts field. Our work is based on the belief that music is a driving force toward a society that values cultural diversity as a source of unity rather than division.

To that end we produce an annual winter and summer festival, an annual conference focused on international music matters, an annual awards ceremony, a new globalFEST touring fund, and other programs year-round.

This year's winter festival will take place on January 17th, 2027 at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall and is considered a reveletory cultural event, attracting over 500 performing arts industry professionals and over 2,000 open-minded music fans. globalFEST is a part of the annual Arts Presenters Conference (APAP) and JanArtsNYC.

The festival provides a platform for 10 highly curated, outstanding and tour-ready artists to perform full sets in front of hundreds of industry professionals on three unique stages inside Geffen Hall.

Participating artists have gone on to tour at theaters, events and festivals across the country and around the world. Tours, cultural exchanges, and press that result from participating at globalFEST build an ever-widening audience for global and regional American music and, by extension, an increase in cultural diplomacy, international cooperation and collaboration.

  • globalFEST 2027 | Artist Submission Form

You can continue to make changes to your application until April 15, 11:59pm EST. You must hit "Submit" to submit your application. When your application has been received, you will receive an e-mail confirmation to the email address used to submit the application.
  • Please note: Artists are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and visas. globalFEST provides a $500 reimbursement to each band member plus one support person towards their expenses. gF partner Tamizdat Artist Services offers gF artists low-cost visa application services. This year we have set strict timelines for starting the visa process.

  • SUBMISSION DETAILS

    • Past globalFEST participants are not eligible to apply.
    • There is a $20 application fee.
    • Once started, you must complete the entire submission. You cannot return to a partially completed application. Please use the checklist at the link below to prepare the materials needed to apply in advance. We recommend first answering the questions in a separate document before filling in the form.
    • We base our invitations in large part on live performances. Therefore, we must see at least three live performance videos, preferably in front of an audience and not edited. Other videos are acceptable as supplemental material.
    • We only accept 3 submissions per agent/agency. Do not send us your whole roster.
    • We prioritize artists who have a firm commitment and ability to tour North America in 2027 - 2028.
    • We prioritize artists who have an agent or manager attending APAP (Association for Performing Arts Professionals) conference or will be in New York during the conference. Our experience shows that artists who have an agent or manager attending APAP or who are in NY during APAP have more successful outcomes following gF.
    • Notifications will be sent on or around the beginning of June 2026.
    • Should you have any questions not listed here, please email info@globalfest.org

    Artist/Band Materials
  • Please provide us with links to artist/band's live music and promotional materials. Links to YouTube/Vimeo, Bandcamp, or Soundcloud are ideal, although we will accept links from other streaming platforms. We will only review individual links to videos - do not send the band’s YouTube channel/page.

IMPORTANT: Please only include videos that represent the current band and the project you are submitting.

We base our invitations on live performances. Please include three live performance videos, with an audience. Other videos are acceptable as supplemental material.

If you are submitting a full length concert video, you must include a timecode to indicate what section we should watch or your video may not be viewed.
