VWA Junior Winds Audition Registration 2026/2027

Junior Winds - Rising 6th - 8th graders

Welcome to Virginia Winds Academy Junior Winds! Please register using this online registration suite.

As of June 10, only video auditions are being accepted. Please submit no later than July 13. Please see Video Sharing for instructions

If the deadline has passed, please contact auditions@vwa.band for information on section openings and opportunities.

There will be a $35 late fee for auditions after the closing date.

Tuition: $770

Tuition payment can be made through the tuition portal.

Full tuition payment must be made before Oct 1st, or a payment plan must be approved.

If you have any questions, please email tuition@vwa.band.

Payment instructions will be sent to you upon acceptance.

Junior Winds -Audition Requirements
1. ETUDE: Pick and perform a one- to two-minute etude that best demonstrates your musical style and technical skills.
2. MAJOR SCALES: Each student will perform two major scales of their choice.
3. CHROMATIC SCALE: The chromatic scale should be slurred ascending and staccato-tongued descending.
