MCUI (UC) Start Permission Application Form 2026

All applicants must select which Short Circuit Start Permission they require, Adult or Youth, Annual or One Event. For those requiring Start Permission for Road Race including the IOM TT and other road races they must make the additonal selections below.

This policy also gives Personal Accident Cover to all MCUI UC licence holders racing in Ireland. 

 

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE COMPLETING AND PAYING

For Start Permission 2026 for Short Circuit only outside of Ireland - please select one of the first four options. Adult Annual or Adult one Event, or Youth Annual or Youth one Event.

For Start Permission 2026 for Road Racing outside of Ireland please first select one of the first four options (Adult Annual or Adult one Event, or Youth Annual or Youth one Event) and then the road race option of IOM TT or MANX GP / CLASSIC TT or ADDITIONAL ROAD RACE.

For example the cost for the TT or Manx GP  will be £55 + £325, or for the Pre-TT £55 + £195 as one event. If you are planning to compete in more than three road races outside of Ireland it will be more cost effective to pay for annual start permission at £195 then your payment for the road race you are doing. Then for additional road race start permissions, once annual is paid you only select the additional premium for the road race you require when you require it.

 

Category A

Insured Persons - Any members of the Policyholder up to 70 years of age.

Operative Time - While participating in permitted, organised, scheduled events including practicing/ training sessions excluding All Road Race Events on the Isle of Man

Death - £25,000

Loss of Sight in one or both eyes - £25,000

Loss of Hearing in one ear - £6,250

Loss of Hearing in both ears - £25,000

Loss of one or more Limbs - £25,000

Loss of Speech - £25,000

Permanent Total Disablement* (PTD) - £50,000 *any and every occupation.

Emergency Medical Expenses - Up to £185,000

Emergency Medical Repatriation - Up to £75,000

Excess Medical Repatriation - Medical Repatriation £1,000 to be paid by Applicant

 

Category B

Insured Persons - Any members of the Policyholder between the age of 71 to 80 years.

Operative Time - While participating in permitted, organised, scheduled events including practicing/ training sessions excluding All Road Race Events on the Isle of Man

Death - £25,000

Loss of Sight in one or both eyes - £25,000

Loss of Hearing in one ear - £6,250

Loss of Hearing in both ears - £25,000

Loss of one or more Limbs - £25,000

Loss of Speech - £25,000

Permanent Total Disablement* (PTD) - £50,000 *any and every occupation.

Emergency Medical Expenses -Up to £100,000

Emergency Medical Repatriation - Up to £50,000

Excess Medical Repatriation - Medical Repatriation £1,000 to be paid by Applicant

 

Category C

Insured Persons - Any member of the Policyholder up to the age of 80 years.

Operative Time - While participating in Road Race Events on the Isle of Man in permitted, organised, scheduled events including practicing/ training sessions.

Death - £25,000

Emergency Medical Expenses -Up to £185,000

Emergency Medical Repatriation - Up to £75,000

Excess Medical Repatriation - Medical Repatriation £1,000 to be paid by Applicant
