How can our church building reflect faithful stewardship, care for creation, and wise use of resources without overwhelming volunteers or launching major capital projects?
Join us for Every Square Foot Counts: Practical Climate Action for Church Buildings, a 90-minute workshop designed especially for congregations who own and manage their own properties.
This session will introduce simple, affordable steps that can reduce energy waste, improve comfort, lower operating costs, and strengthen ministry. We will explore how building decisions connect with discipleship, love of neighbour, responsible use of land, and right relationship with the wider community.
Participants will:
- Learn where to begin with energy stewardship
Identify low-cost, high-impact actions that can be implemented immediately
- Receive a practical walkthrough checklist for sanctuary, hall, kitchen, and office spaces
- Explore funding pathways and when an energy audit may make sense
Leave with one clear next step to implement within 30 days
- This workshop is grounded in the conviction that faithful stewardship is not about perfection. It is about steady, thoughtful care. One small project at a time.
