SC Y-Corps 2026: May 29-June 3
Y-Corps is a service learning program that combines service projects, outdoor activities, social and cultural activities, and hopefully some fun. We'll be focusing on service to the lowcountry. Throughout our trip, we will travel to different coastal communities and environments. Our group will travel via activity bus and stay in a combination of YMCAs, churches, and potentially camp one night. The cost is $350, which includes everything - lodging, food, Y-Corps t-shirts, transportation, etc. You can raise your fees through fund-raising for the YIG Scholarship Fund (you'll receive half of everything your raise, so you will cover your fees 100% by raising $700 for the Y, and we'll help you) OR you can pay $350. Space is limited! Previous YIG experience not necessary, so feel free to invite a friend! Open to current high school students, grades 9-12. Note: Join us the evening of April 13th for YIG Phone Banking Night. Half of what you raise will be subtracted from your Y-Corps program fees. Visit our website to sign up!

Yes, I have no concerns about my ability to participate
Yes, but I may have concerns about my ability to complete service projects
I do not think I would be able to complete certain service projects
Y-Corps Service to the Coast will involve sitting in a bus for extended period of time, waking up early, eating meals on the go, being flexible with plans, and even sleeping on YMCA or church floors (you will have an air mattress/sleeping mat). We might have the opportunity to camp one night (gear will be provided). The program is designed to train servant leaders and introduce you to different kinds of service. Safety is our top priority, but the program will ask you to leave your comfort zone at times. After reading the above, are you comfortable with participating?
*

No - this does not sound like a service trip I would be comfortable with
