Each rider has completed a Roll‐Over test to validate their harness wearing, their vehicle's protections, their helmet clearance and to practice holding steering handles and looking straight ahead during a roll over
Each Rider is competent in a Slalom Test of four markers spaced 4.2 metres apart.
Each Rider is developing their sense of traffic and track position.
Each Rider can sight overtaking traffic in their mirrors, with all‐round‐vision not obscured by window treatments or bodywork
Each Rider in their riding position can see the ground 5m ahead and reach both mirrors.
Each Rider's clothing, hair, hands, and legs, are SAFE from the DRIVELINE [wheels, spokes, chain, rollers] and STEERING.
Harness shoulder belt mounts or guides are level with or higher than each Rider's shoulders.
Harness lap belt mounts and SEAT SHAPE [especially the front edge] maintain correct lap belt placement for each Rider.
Excessive seat padding is not being used for Riders. [Too much padding stops the harness from working properly]
Side impact protection covers shoulders, torso, hips, and legs down to knees, of each Rider.
An effective head restraint system fits each Rider to protect them during rear impact [TOP EDGE safely rounded].
For an Open Cockpit vehicle, Riders have 100mm minimum clearance above their helmet to the Rider Rollover Protection Structure and Cockpit Overhead Protection
For Closed Canopy Vehicles, Riders have proper head room and Specified Foam is above each Riders head, extending 100mm behind the head rest [4.9.3 & 4.9.4], including any spare canopies.
Every Rider is covered by the COP [4.10.1 & 4.10.2]
The harness is not visibly damaged and is mounted securely [5.2.1 - 5.2.11]
Structures of the Team's vehicle will comply with Vehicle Specification 4.4.3 [Figure 5]. - Bolts for Removable Rider Rollover Protection System are tight.
Cockpit is safe for riders : framework, panel edges (2.3.3c), guarding, cable ends, cable ties, bolts, ducting and front wheel enclosures. - Batteries meet 2.2.4
Brakes, horn, tail‐light (non‐flashing) from 15m+, headlight [if night race], are all operational ‐ CABIN AIRFLOW EFFECTIVE
Rider communication and device use minimises Rider Distraction [Position Statement via 7.3.3]
A Certified helmet will be fitted correctly for each Rider with no devices mounted on it.
Harness will be adjusted for each Rider with the lap belt kept tightly on their pelvis.
The vehicle will remain compliant with the specification and as scrutineered throughout the event.
