The 2026 Annual Conference “It Takes All of Us” will take place at October 26 & 27, 2026 in at the Haworth Hotel and Conference Center in Holland, Michigan.
The Michigan CASA Conference brings together CASA staff, volunteers, board members, and child‑welfare partners who are all essential to creating a world where every child can thrive in a safe and permanent home.
We welcome proposals from professionals and partners across the CASA and child‑welfare community, including experts, consultants, trainers, and those with valuable professional or lived experience.
Michigan CASA is looking to present a Conference with a variety of topics such as:
- Increasing Diversity Equity & Inclusion in CASA Programs
- The Effects of Trauma, Poverty & Mental Illness on Kids
- Supporting the Needs of LGBTQ+ Children and Families
- Child Safety & Family Preservation
- Measuring Outcomes
- Secondary Trauma & Compassion Fatigue
- Being an Educational Advocate for CASA kids
- Strengthening Communication with Biological and Foster Parents
- Building Relationships with State & Local legislators
- Recruiting and Retaining CASA Volunteers
- Self-Care for CASA Volunteers & Staff
- Effective Fundraising Strategies
- Marketing Your CASA Program
- Situational Safety Concerns for CASA Volunteers & Staff
- CASA Back to Basics
Each workshop session lasts 75 minutes and includes dedicated time for Q&A. Sessions should be engaging, interactive, and welcoming to all learning levels. Presenters should aim to deliver practical knowledge, experiential learning, and actionable tools, and tools that participants can immediately apply.
Sessions should not be used to market or sell products (excluding books).
Not all workshop sessions submitted will be selected for inclusion in the Conference. Your proposal may be considered for an upcoming Michigan CASA Educational Program.
