Youth Art Show Submission and RSVP

The Alliance Queer Youth Art Show is a celebration of creativity and identity centering the stories and voices of LGBTQ+ youth across South Florida. This event provides young queer artists with a platform to publicly showcase their work and share their perspectives with the broader community.

We are currently accepting submissions from LGBTQ+ young people ages 13-24. All mediums are welcome, including performance art. The last day to submit art/performance is Friday, April 26th.

Reception Information

Our opening night reception will take place on Saturday, May 9th from 6:00-8:00 PM.

This is a time for the community, family, and friends to celebrate and uplift young LGBTQ+ artists. The reception is completely free. We will have light snacks, beverages, and art stations to create your own art while there. Thank you for joining us in celebrating young queer talent and stories!

  Theme: Make Room
  
  This year's theme is about creating and taking up space as our authentic selves. It can mean claiming space in a world that hasn’t always welcomed you, opening doors for people who come after you, or building communities where everyone belongs. It can also be about making room inside ourselves for growth, joy, anger, healing, and change. However, these are just suggestions. Feel free to interpret this theme in whichever way speaks to you.
  
  Submission Criteria:
  - LGBTQ+ young people and allies ages 13-24 are welcome to submit work
  - Artists can submit more than 1 piece
  - All experience levels are welcome to submit work
  - All art forms (visual, performance, or written) are welcome
  - While you do not have to be present at the reception to submit your artwork, we do hope to see you there!
