Please ensure you have read the following Terms and Conditions before submitting the application. You will be asked to Sign that you accept these.
1. An application form is to be completed for all learning and development activity that requires study leave and/or funding.
2. These terms and conditions form the basis of a learning agreement between you the applicant, and your line manager so that there is clarity of everyone’s responsibilities.
3. Please refer to the Study Leave Policy for additional information.
4. The application form clarifies the reasons you wish to attend the activity and requires you to consider the benefits to the Organisations and your commitment to the training and your personal development.
5. The application form confirms the amount of study leave agreed between you and your manager.
6. Only funding for the course/ training event etc. can be financed by the panel. Any other associated costs such as travel, accommodation, etc. cannot be met and should be discussed and agreed with your line manager.
7. Applicants will be asked to submit proof that their Mandatory & Statutory training is fully compliant at the time of submission and if you are not complaint your application will be rejected.
8. If you provide information within your application that is inaccurate, false, or misleading, the panel has the right to refuse, and your application will be rejected.
9. No retrospective applications will be accepted nor reimbursements made to staff if they have made payment to a provider prior to an outcome being decided by the panel.
10. The Panel will not consider funding applications submitted by new employees if they have not completed their probation period.
11. Funding commitments will only be made for one financial year. Funding for the next financial year (e.g., master’s modules) will have to be reapplied for. Please note that funding is not guaranteed for additional years.
12. You must ensure that you leave sufficient time between the date of your study and the panel as payment processes may take up to 8 weeks.
13. Funding if approved is only for the original application. Funding cannot be transferred, and a new application should be submitted for alternative individuals or training.
14. No applications below £100.00 will be considered.
15. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of the dates of study and the expectations regarding the assessments or submissions require to achieve the study within the required timeline.
16. The applicant is to complete the study within the designated time frame set by the provider unless an extension has been agreed by the course provider and their manager informed.
17. The applicant is expected to notify the Funding Panel regarding any withdrawals, delays, postponements or breaks from study as soon as possible.
18. If you are assigned Study time/days on Healthroster you need to attend unless there is a legitimate reason e.g., Sickness and you have reported this to your manager.
19. You will be contacted by the Trust to establish if the training was completed for audit purposes and shared learning.
20. The manager to have discussions at 1:1/Appraisals with the applicant regarding the progression of their study and plans for the dissemination of new learning to colleagues.
