🌟 VBS Volunteer Roles & Descriptions.
Thank you for considering serving at VBS this year. Every role matters, and together we get to create a week where kids feel loved, welcomed, and excited to learn about God. Below are the teams we’re building and what each role involves.

🎨 Decoration Crew
Looking for: 6 people

Time commitment:

*Mid‑May: Meet to review the decoration vision.
*Week before VBS: Spend the week decorating and bringing the theme to life.
If you love creativity, crafting, painting, or simply helping transform spaces, this is your team. We’ll work together to create an environment that feels magical the moment kids walk in.

 
🙏 Prayer Team
Looking for: Anyone with a heart to pray

Time commitment:

*Monthly emails with prayer requests.
This is one of the most important parts of VBS. You’ll be praying for the kids, volunteers, and for God to work through every moment of the week. Your prayers help prepare hearts long before VBS begins.

 

For the next roles you will need to arrive 20 minutes before VBS starts.
We will meet briefly each morning to pray.

 
👋 Welcome / Check‑In Station
Looking for: 2-3 adults

Time commitment:

*Arrive 30 minutes early each day.

You’ll greet every child with a smile, help with check‑in, and guide them to their groups.

 
🎉 Game Station
Looking for: 2 teenagers

If you love energy, laughter, and playing with kids, this is the perfect spot. You’ll guide fun games for four rotating groups of 15 kids.

 
🍎 Snack Station
Looking for: 2 adults + 1 teenager

Time commitment:

*June: Planning snacks and experiments.
*Early July: Shopping for supplies.
This year, snack time is a station! Kids will make their own snacks.

One adult will share the big idea and lead a simple experiment.
The rest of the team will prep ingredients, help kids assemble snacks, and reset between groups. You’ll serve four rotating groups of 15 kids.
 
✂️ Craft Station
Looking for: 1 adult + 1 teenager

Time commitment:

*May and June meeting to plan the crafts + shopping for supplies.

Crafts will be simple, fun, and meaningful. You’ll guide four rotating groups of 15 kids.

 
🧭 Group Leaders
Looking for:4 adults (one per group)+ 8 teenagers (two per group)

Each group will have 15 kids.

Adults will lead small‑group discussions each day, helping kids connect the lesson to their lives. This role is incredibly special — you get to build relationships and walk alongside the kids all week.

 
🎵 Tech Role
Looking for: 1 person

Help make each day exciting with music, lights, and sound. Kids love the energy of worship time, and you’ll help create that atmosphere.

 
📸 Photographer / Videographer
Looking for: 1 person

Capture the joy of the week through photos and videos. At the end of VBS, you’ll create a slideshow to share with parents on the Sunday.
