As part of the summer intensive model, children are required to attend FOUR Parish activities throughout the year. Our Catholic Faith is centered on the teachings of Jesus and the activities of His Church. We believe our families and children need to experience His Church to understand their role as Church members and how the Church serves the community. Families and children should participate in the community of the Church to understand how important they are to it.
Please choose four (or more) activities for your family to participate in. These activities are meant to nurture children and their families in faith. They give everyone the opportunity to explore and enjoy the Mass, all the Sacraments, and other celebrations that are at the heart of who we are as Catholics. For this reason, guiding children through the Church year and the liturgy is a crucial step in enriching faith in children. Choose at least 4 events to share with us.
Some questions they can reflect on are: How did this activity bring me closer to Jesus? What is something new that I learned about my faith during this activity? How did this activity introduce me to a new aspect of my faith or bring new people into my life? If the activity occurred at a different church, were there differences in that church, service, etc. than we celebrate at St. Basil?
All four reflections are due by April 1st, 2027.
