The next edition of AISC 303 will supersede the 2022 version.

Proposed updates to the standard since the last edition include:
- A new section addressing projects with sustainability requirements in Section 1
- Additional clarity about what to include in approval documents in Section 4
- Updates to the treatment of adjustable items across Sections 3, 7, and 11
- Integration of the concept of “character of work” throughout the standard
- Added clarity regarding the responsibilities for the design of member reinforcement
