ANNUAL. Ivy geraniums, though, have trailing, cascading stems that can be as much as five feet long. Plants grow rapidly during the warm spring months, which enables you to fill up large containers or baskets with smaller, less expensive plants that mature quickly. In their usual role as container annuals, ivy geraniums are planted in spring and will quickly begin flowering right up until frost. Sun Exposure. Full sun to partial shade. ANNUAL TENDER PERENNIAL. From spring to fall, fuchsias produce dozens of brightly colored dangling, teardrop-shaped, single or double flowers from trailing stems, and they do so in the kind of shady conditions where most plants struggle. These tender perennials are a fabulous staple for hanging baskets with their elegant, drooping flowers hanging down like so many crystals on a fancy chandelier. Sun exposure: Full sun to partial shade. Soil type: Moist, well-drained. Bloom time: spring, summer, fall
ANNUAL. Full sun for best flowering. Low maintenance annual that blooms all summer. Sweet fragrance is a magnet for butterflies and hummingbirds. MBrilliant tones of red, pink orange and yellow produce a vibrant display of color. Heat and drought tolerant, deer and rabbit-resistant too.
ANNUAL. Smaller flower size and low spreading habit. Delivers outstanding durability in toughtest landscape conditions. Maximum vigor. Adds “wow” to pots, mixed combos, hanging baskets and landscapes.
ANNUAL. Sensitive to cold & wind. Water daily, place or plant in part-sun to shade, and protect from frost with a fabric sheet. Bloom Stage: When you receive your baskets, the plants may still be green, but soon the buds will appear and the flowers will start to open, providing continuous color.
ANNUAL. Where you locate your plants will have a big impact on how and when they bloom. Portulaca is an annual that is unique in that its flowers unfurl only when the sun or light is shining upon them. The blooms of portulaca actually close at night, or whenever shade is present. In fact, they will even close up on a cloudy or rainy day until the sun reappears! The plant can survive in full shade, but it will be all foliage and no color. Instead, plant or place in an area that will receive at least 6 to 8 hours of full sunlight each day. The more sunlight they get, the more they will bloom!
If you’re looking for an easy-going, low-maintenance houseplant that can add interest and texture to your home, look no further than a hanging pothos plant. Pothos are tropical plants that thrive in warm temperatures and bright light. They can tolerate a wide array of conditions and can provide your home with years of joy. ☀️ Light: Bright, indirect light is best, but Pothos can adapt to lower light conditions. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. 🌡️ Temperature: Pothos thrive in temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Keep them away from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes. 💧 Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Pothos are forgiving and tolerate occasional drying out but don’t let the soil stay soggy
ANNUAL. SunPatiens is an impatiens hybrid that withstands full sun in containers and flowerbeds. Impatiens are one of the most popular annual flowers. SunPatiens have a long bloom period stretching from spring to fall until the first heavy frost arrives. Give SunPatiens ample sun whether planted in the garden or containers. Plant SunPatiens in rich, loose, well-draining soil that is not compacted. Water SunPatiens frequently to keep the soil hydrated but not soggy.
ANNUAL/TENDER PERENNIAL. Full sun/part shade. A perpetual display of delicate flowers with tiny petals arranged in a fanlike pattern, giving the flowers a wonderfully exotic look! Even better, fan flower is tough and easy going and will continue to bloom tirelessly even when neglected during the dog days of summer. Annual/tender perennial.
PERENNIAL. FULL SUN. Strawberries thrive in 6 or more hours of full sun. Easy-growing perennial plants with attractive, dark-green foliage look amazing in a hanging basket. Large, glossy berries make for instant sweet treats, sparking up fruit salad, summer pies or homemade jam.
PERENNIAL. Petunias are fast-growing perennial plants that will reach full size by late spring. Petunias are perfect for locations exposed to full sunlight.
ANNUAL. Verbena can be found in butterfly gardens as well. All types of pollinators from hummingbirds to butterflies to bees love these clustered flowers and will be regular visitors wherever it is found. Plant in a spot with at least six hours of full sun; eight to ten is preferred. Give regular water but avoid soggy soil conditions. This annual needs moderately moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil.

PERENNIAL These lush, tropical perennials are the perfect choice for hanging baskets, whether gracing a front porch or a living room window. They do well outdoors during warm weather, but if the temperature in your area dips below freezing, they will need to be moved indoors before winter's arrival.
TENDER PERENNIAL. Partial shade. Exotic-looking, two-toned flower blossoms, display gracefully in hanging baskets. Protect from prolonged sun exposure because fuchsia plants like cooler temperatures. Fuchsia flowers easily steal the show when they’re on display, and they’re also a hummingbird magnet!

TENDER PERENNIAL. Angelonia gives the appearance of being a delicate, finicky plant, but growing Angelonia is actually quite easy. The plants are called summer snapdragons because they produce a profusion of flowers that resemble small snapdragons all summer. Choose a site in full sun or light shade and set out bedding plants in spring two or three weeks after the last expected frost.
PERENNIAL. Bacopa (Sutera cordata) is a simple to grow perennial and produces abundant blooms from spring until autumn. It's a trailing plant, making it an excellent option for hanging planters, container gardens, and groundcover. Light: part sun, sun. Height: 6 to 6 inches
ANNUAL/INDOOR PERENNIAL. Coleus, made popular as Victorian-era bedding plants, have made a huge comeback thanks to the all-season color the lovely foliage offers, whether it's planted in full sun or shade.
ANNUAL. Dracaena, or spike plant, was traditionally considered a houseplant for years. Now it's a favorite in annual container gardens. With its spiky, upright leaves, the dracaena plant adds height and textural contrast, enhancing the beauty of bushy and cascading annual flowers. Although they can adapt to low light conditions, providing them with bright indirect light ensures optimal growth and leaf coloration.
ANNUAL. Geraniums grow best in full sun but will tolerate some shade, especially at the hottest time of day. They should get 4 to even 8 hours of direct sunlight per day Sun exposure - Full sun to partial shade. Soil requirements - Rich, well-drained. When to plant - Spring, after last frost.
TENDER PERENNIAL. For those hot, dry spots in your garden where most plants may struggle, lantana may be your solution. This hardworking plant with colorful flowers thrives with little moisture in full, unyielding sun. It's also easy to grow and pollinator-friendly! It's common to see numerous butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds flitting around these plants, drinking the abundant nectar produced in their small, tubular blooms.
ANNUAL. These are cheerful flowers with warm colors and fern-like foliage. Marigolds can bloom almost non-stop and will keep going all summer, until frost. To achieve that non-stop flowering, keep your marigolds deadheaded. Flowering may decrease slightly during the heat of summer but generally resumes in full force as cooler weather arrives.
ANNUAL/TENDER PERENNIAL. Calibrachoa, also known as million bells, is one of the most popular plants for growing outdoors in containers. Can bloom continuously through the growing season until first frost, and its flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
ANNUAL. New Guinea impatiens thrive in part shade with consistently moist, well-drained soil. However, they can also withstand full sun or shade, though the plants may yield fewer flowers in these spots. Unlike classic impatiens plants, which are shade lovers, New Guinea impatiens flowers tolerate up to half a day of sun.
ANNUAL. Potato vine is a fast-growing annual and classic "spiller" plant commonly used for container gardening thanks to its long tendrils of varied leaf colors and shapes that spill over the edges of pots. Potato vine grows well in tropical and humid conditions with sun or some shade, prefers soil on the acidic side, and is best planted in the spring

ANNUAL. SunPatiens (Impatiens x hybrida SunPatiens®) are an impatiens hybrid that can withstand full sun in containers and flowerbeds. SunPatiens are an annual with a long bloom period stretching from spring to fall until a heavy frost. The plants are typically larger, bushier, and bloom more.

ANNUAL. Salvia farinacea 'Victoria Blue' is a compact, well-branched annual that produces abundant spikes loaded with large blue flowers over a long season. Plant this one en masse to create a feeding station for hummingbirds, or add a few plants here and there at the edge of the border where you can appreciate the long season of color. Plant salvia in the spring around late May or early June well after the last frost has passed. The best place to plant any salvia is in a spot with full sun and well-draining soil.
ANNUAL. Vinca vine (Vinca major) is also known as “Variegated Vinca” and “Periwinkle” due to their attractive and variegated foliage. These big leaf periwinkles have variegated leaf margins, making them beautiful. The central part of the leaves is green with edges in different colors ranging from white to purple, brown, or red. Plant bellflowers in a spot that receives full to partial sunlight in moist, well-draining soil. Be mindful that perennial and biennial bellflowers spread by rhizomes under the soil, so they could become invasive. Divide the plants every three to five years to prevent them from spreading indiscriminately.

Heucheras are some of the most beautiful and fascinating plants to grow in lightly shaded areas of your yard. PERENNIAL Pampas grass is a large, ornamental grass with unmistakable feathery white plumes. Pampas grass grows best in hot and humid areas but can thrive even in colder regions, as long as it grows in full or partial sun, and well-draining loamy soil.

Purple fountain grass is aptly named for the arcing spikes of nodding purplish flowers that gracefully spray out of its mass of long, slender, burgundy-colored leaves. It has a fast growth rate and is best planted in spring. The autumn seed heads of this plant are very attractive and preferred in fall flower gardens. A nicely compact form of Egyptian Papyrus, about half the height of King Tut, but with the same large poms on the ends of the stems. Graceful Grasses is fun and interesting, without being so overwhelmingly huge. With shorter stems than King Tut, Prince Tut papyrus is quite sturdy and less likely to have stems flop.
