Release of Liability, Indemnification, and Assumption of Risk Agreement
In consideration of being permitted to participate in firearms training, instruction, range activities, and related events conducted by Tap Rack Ready LLC, the undersigned student agrees to the following terms and conditions.
Assumption of Risk
The student acknowledges that participation in firearms training involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
• The use and discharge of firearms
• Handling live ammunition
• Tactical movement and physical exertion
• Close proximity to other shooters
• Environmental hazards present on outdoor or indoor ranges
• Equipment malfunction
• Instructor demonstrations and student drills
The student understands that firearms training requires extreme attention to safety and responsibility, and that injuries or death could occur if firearms are handled improperly.
By attending training, the student voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation.
Release of Liability
The student and parties using the range agrees to release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Tap Rack Ready LLC, along with the Clay County Government issuing a permit to allow range use for business, its instructors, employees, agents, assistants, contractors, volunteers, and affiliates (collectively referred to as Instructor) from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, losses, or causes of action that may arise from:
• Participation in training courses
• Presence on the training range or property
• The use or discharge of firearms
• Use of training equipment or ammunition
• Instruction provided by Tap Rack Ready LLC
This includes recieving training from prior military veterans who are highly skilled in firearm tactics and skillsets that may not have a certification as a civilian firearm Instructor, or any firearm instructor certification.
This release includes claims resulting from negligence, except where prohibited by law.
Indemnification Agreement
The student agrees to indemnify and defend Tap Rack Ready LLC against any claims, lawsuits, or legal actions resulting from the student's actions during training.
This includes damages or injuries caused by the student to:
• Other students
• Instructors
• Range personnel
• Property or equipment
Legal Firearm Possession Certification
The student certifies that they are legally permitted to possess and use firearms under all applicable federal and state laws.
The student understands that individuals prohibited from possessing firearms include but are not limited to:
Convicted felons
Individuals convicted of domestic violence
Persons currently charged with certain criminal offenses
Illegal immigrants or individuals unlawfully present in the United States
Persons dishonorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces
Persons adjudicated mentally incompetent
Persons subject to restraining orders related to domestic violence
Fugitives from justice
Persons convicted of crimes punishable by imprisonment exceeding one year
The student certifies that none of these conditions apply to them.
Tap Rack Ready LLC does not conduct background checks and relies on the honesty and legal certification of the student.
If a student is later found to be prohibited from firearm possession, they will be removed from the course immediately without refund.
Range Safety Rules Acknowledgement
The student acknowledges that range safety is the highest priority at Tap Rack Ready LLC.
The student agrees to:
• Follow all range commands and instructor directions
• Maintain proper firearm safety and muzzle discipline
• Immediately cease fire when instructed
• Handle firearms only when directed by instructors
Failure to follow safety instructions may result in immediate removal from training without refund.
Medical and Physical Fitness Disclosure
The student certifies that they are physically and mentally capable of safely participating in firearms training.
The student agrees that they:
• Have no medical condition that would endanger themselves or others
• Will notify the instructor of any medical issues prior to training
• Accept responsibility for their physical condition during training
Tap Rack Ready LLC is not responsible for injuries related to undisclosed medical conditions.
Emergency Medical Authorization
In the event of injury or medical emergency during training, the student authorizes Tap Rack Ready LLC instructors or staff to:
• Seek emergency medical treatment
• Contact emergency services
• Provide basic first aid if necessary
The student agrees to assume responsibility for all medical costs incurred.
Photo and Media Release
The student grants Tap Rack Ready LLC permission to photograph or record video during training events.
These images or recordings may be used for:
• Marketing materials
• Social media
• Website content
• Training documentation
Students who prefer not to appear in media must notify instructors prior to the start of training.
Instructor Authority
Tap Rack Ready LLC instructors maintain full authority over the training environment.
Students may be removed from training for:
• Unsafe firearm handling
• Failure to follow safety instructions
• Disorderly or disruptive behavior
• Violation of range rules
Removal from training due to safety violations will not result in a refund.
Severability Clause
If any portion of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, the remaining provisions shall remain fully enforceable.
Student Agreement
By signing below, the student confirms that they:
• Have read and fully understand this agreement
• Are legally permitted to possess firearms
• Accept all risks associated with firearms training
• Agree to follow all Tap Rack Ready LLC safety rules
