Tip Use a ruler or tailor's tape. If you don't have that the average female hand is 6.5" long (16.5cm) and the average male hand is 7.5" long (19.5cm). This length measures the bottom of your palm to the tip of your middle finger. Smartphones are usually 5.5" by 2.75" (14cm x 7cm).

You don't need to design your own tattoo. The artist will do that. The artist needs to understand your concept (what is the subject matter of the tattoo), the size, the placement, and the style. Please share as much or as little detail here as long as you are communicating those important points.

It's not usually helpful to share images of other artists' tattoos. Our artists will not copy work from another artist and it's best to use the artist's own work for style. For subject matter references, you can share real-world images instead of other tattoos.
