General Notice for Community Members Interested in Hosting a Fundraiser
Thank you for your interest in supporting 805Undocufund and our Rapid Response Network by hosting a fundraiser. We are grateful for community members who want to raise funds and awareness for our mission. We must advise that as a registered 501c(3) we do have limits and terms on how much we can assist. Please review all the information below before submission.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are required to follow specific federal and state regulations regarding fundraising activities conducted in our name. Because of these requirements, there are certain limitations on how our name, branding, and tax-exempt status can be used in connection with third-party fundraising events. Approval from our organization is required before publicly promoting any fundraiser that references us.
If you are planning a fundraiser to benefit our organization, we highly encourage you to complete most or all of your event planning before submitting the fundraising request form. This helps ensure that the form can primarily be used for review and approval purposes, allowing us to process requests more efficiently.
If you are seeking guidance, partnership, or planning support, you may indicate in the form that you would like to meet with our Development team. Otherwise, the form is primarily intended for final approval of community-organized fundraising events.
Please note:
- Submission of the form does not automatically guarantee approval.
- Our organization may not be able to provide staffing, direct event management, financial administration, or liability coverage for third-party events.
- Use of our name, logo, or tax-exempt status must be approved in advance.
Donors should be clearly informed whether contributions are tax-deductible and how funds will be transferred to our organization.
