APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
To be considered, applicants must meet all three of the following requirements:
1. Residency You must be a current resident of the Northwest Stadium Impact Area in Prince George's County, Maryland — within approximately 5 miles of formerly FedEx Field/NorthWest Stadium (1600 Ring Road, Landover, MD 20785).

- 20743 — Capitol Heights, Seat Pleasant
- 20784 — Landover Hills, Hyattsville
- 20706 — Glenarden
- 20774 — Largo, Lake Arbor
- 20747 — District Heights, Forestville
⭐ Applicants residing within 3 miles of Northwest Stadium will receive priority consideration.

2. Academic Standing Must be a current high school senior with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale or equivalent).
3. Enrollment Intent Must plan to attend a college or accredited trade school during the award year.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
Complete all sections of this application and submit the following required documents. All documents must be typed or word-processed.
A. Application Form Complete all fields in this application in full.
B. Personal Essay Write a personal statement of 200–500 words (maximum 3 pages, double-spaced) addressing:
- Your community service involvement
- Your educational and career goals
- Any obstacles you have overcome in pursuing a college education
Your personal opinion and voice are a valued part of this essay.
C. Official Transcript Submit an official transcript covering grades 9–12 that:
- Includes your cumulative GPA
- Is signed by a school official
If your school uses a grading scale other than 4.0, you must include an explanation of your school's grading system.
D. School Letter Submit a letter from your high school that addresses your:
- Attendance record
- Academic performance
- Citizenship/behavior
E. Two (2) Letters of Recommendation
Obtain two letters from two different sources (e.g., teacher, pastor, principal, community leader, or mentor). Each letter must specify the writer's relationship to you or the capacity in which they know you.

- ⭐ Applicants residing closest to Northwest Stadium (within 3 miles) will receive priority consideration.
- Community service involvement is highly valued in the selection process.
Appearance, spelling, and grammar will be evaluated as part of your application.
- If your school uses a grading scale other than 4.0, include a written explanation.
- All funds are paid directly to the college or trade school the recipient plans to attend and are only available during the award year.
- Awards may be renewed pending review by The LEARN Foundation.
Minimum scholarship award: $1,000.00
