• Navigating the Hiring Process as a Job-Seeker with a Disability
  • Learn information about how job seekers with disabilities can best navigate the hiring process, including the decision of whether to disclose a disability.
• Talking to Employers about Disability: Legal and Practical Considerations
  • Tips to become more knowledgeable, comfortable, and effective in discussing a disability with a current or potential employer.
• Reasonable Accommodations
  • A basic overview of ADA provisions around reasonable accommodations in the workplace.

About Sara Goldman:

Sara Goldman, M.P.H., M.S.B.S., ADAC, is the Accessibility Coordinator for the City of Pasadena. Prior to serving as the City of Pasadena Accessibility Coordinator, Sara worked for the Pasadena Public Health Department in Emergency Preparedness, facilitating the City’s COVID-19 vaccination response. Through this experience, she saw firsthand the importance of integrating disability access and inclusion into City services and programs, leading her to the position for which she now serves.

Sara attended the University of Toledo where she obtained a Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology and a Master of Science in Biological Sciences, concentrating in Medical Sciences. She enjoys providing training to public and private entities in Pasadena regarding disability access and inclusion, fostering a community that is welcoming and accessible to all. In her free time, Sara likes to garden and read books when she isn’t chasing after her 1.5 year old son and two cats.
