VTCA Scholarship
The mission of the Virginia Track Coaches Association (VTCA) is “to provide opportunities for high school track and field/cross country coaches and athletes in the state of Virginia”. As part of fulfilling this mission, the VTCA will annually reward two (2) non-renewable scholarships worth $1,500.00 and two (2) non-renewable scholarships worth $1,000.00 each to student-athletes who have made significant contributions to the sports of cross country and/or track & field during their high school career.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1) Must be a graduating senior cross country and/or track & field student-athlete at a VTCA member school.
2) Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Applicants must include the following documents in their scholarship application:
1. Complete the attached Applicant Information Sheet
2. Transcripts (Official or Unofficial)
3. One (1) Teacher Recommendation and one (1) Coach Recommendatioon
4. Submit an essay of at least one (1) page in length on the following prompt:
  
  How did you help cultivate the sports of cross country and track & field in your high school and community?
DEADLINES

April 30, 2026- All required application materials are due.
