    Application Guidelines

  • Purpose:

    The purpose of the Bobby W. Jefferson Sr. Veteran Award is for a US Military Veteran. The winner must be enrolled in an accredited two or four-year post-secondary institution.

    Who is eligible?:

    • Person who served in the active military or reserves and who was discharged or released therefrom under conditions other than dishonorable
    • Working toward an associate, bachelor, or graduate degree
    • Focus on first generation students 
    • Focus on diverse student populations

    Amount Available: 

    The maximum amount awarded to an individual is $500.00.

    How to apply:

    The applicant must:

    1. Application – Fill out the application below.
    2. Transcript – Submit college or university transcript (may be unofficial).
    3. Status – Submit a copy of your DD-214.
