  • Student Nomination Information

    Please list the names below of students you are nominating for each voice part in ensemble. Make sure that you have included the appropriate number of students for each voice part! Students must be recommended by you, their music teacher, in order to participate. There are two ensembles: Treble (grades 4 - 6) and Mixed (grades 6 - 8). All students must be members in good standing of their own school chorus. Students who were in Regions Chorus this year should NOT be nominated to participate in the Honors Ensembles.
  • Grades 6-8. Please submit no more than 12 names, evenly voiced (ie: three Sopranos, three Altos, three Tenors and three Baritones). If you do not have Tenors or Baritones that does NOT mean you can nominate 6 sopranos and 6 altos, no more than 3 per voice part for Intermediate. Please try to encourage the Lower Voices to participate. Please send this acceptance letter to the choristers that you have nominated.

  • Treble Elementary Choir

    Grades 4-6. Please submit no more than ten names, evenly voiced (ie: five for Treble I and five Treble II) Please send this acceptance letter to the choristers that you have nominated.

  • All payment will be collected from students rather than the school/teacher during the audition and/or registration processes via JotForm. If you would prefer to have your school write a single check for all of your students, please reach out to CJMEA President Rebekah Sterlacci at president.cjmea@gmail.com. A discount code will be created for your students and your school will be invoiced for the amount instead. If you have students that qualify for reduced fees, please reach out to CJMEA Treasurer Susan Meuse at treasurer.cjmea@gmail.com to receive codes for those students.

  • Please use the following procedure in registering your students:
     
    A. All students participating in the honor choir must be nominated by their director. 
     
    B. Students must fill out the online application at www.cjmea.org. ONLINE
     
    C. Director Registrations, student nominations, and NAfME cards are due Monday, March 30th, 2026. 
     
    D. Participation fees ($25 per student) are paid by students online by Friday, April 3rd.
  • Please review and agree to the below statements, as several of our procedures have changed this year:

    • All directors must complete a background check and short instructional course online. Submitting for these background checks can be done by following this link. Once you have submitted your information here, you will be contacted by the company InCheck with instructions. Students will not be allowed to audition or participate if their sponsoring teacher does not complete this process. If you have already completed this process, you are not required to do it again. 
    • Directors must commit to the day of the event and must attend/assist with logistics as the event. Should any director relinquish this responsibility, then any students sponsored will not be able to participate.
    • Directors must volunteer at the day-of rehearsal.
