Current State of Curriculum*
Please describe the current state of disability education at your institution. Is there disability content? Is there IDD-specific content? To what extent are community partners engaged? In what years of dental school do current activities occur? Are current activities required or optional? Please provide enough detail so that AADMD can understand your institution’s baseline, as this will help the review committee determine the impact of the project you are proposing.
Project Description*
Please be as detailed as possible. Institutions will select at least 20 modules from the NICHE-Dental curriculum sections 1 and 2 to integrate into their existing curricula. Be sure to include a preliminary list of which modules you intend to incorporate into your existing curricula and the rationale for selecting those modules. Be sure to include which year(s) of dental school training you will be reaching (i.e., D1, D4,etc.). Please also include an estimate of the number of students the activity is expected to reach (i.e., as mall group of 10 versus an entire class). List the study team member(s) and community partner(s) that will be involved in each project activity. Faculty members will be expected to review and provide feedback on at least 10 modules from section 3. Be sure to include a preliminary list of which modules you intend to provide feedback on, the faculty members who will be providing that feedback, and the rationale for selecting those modules.
Timeline

Please attach a visual timeline, in Gantt chart format, that shows ALL steps for this project and the months in which they will occur. Don’t forget to plan ahead! For example, if you plan to start an elective in July 2026, you should include time for the creation of elective content in May-June 2026.
