  • Interest Form for Collectiving 2026

This is leadership training for BIPOC folks in Oakland who want to build more cooperative, caring ways of living and working together. Rooted in Black and Indigenous cultural and ancestral traditions, we’ll learn somatic tools to stay grounded, explore restorative and abolitionist approaches to conflict, and practice shared decision-making. Expect to build community, strengthen our skills for collective stewardship, and imagine sustainable futures that reflect the world we actually want to live in. This is also an effort to build power toward collective ownership in the East Bay; specifically Oakland, Berkeley, and Richmond. In this four-week training we will: Share somatic, embodied, and racial justice centered tools and practices to sustain the projects the will create the world we hope to live in, Learn the basics of restorative justice and collective decision-making  and connecting those practices to the Black and Indigenous lineages, and build wider community amongst BIPOC building cooperative leadership and ownership in the East Bay, specifically Oakland, Berkeley, and Richmond
