Make Plug-in Solar More Accessible - Petition from BLAST Project Solar Solutions
The majority of Americans would like to have access to clean energy, but rooftop solar is not a viable option for many, whether they are renters, have roofing issues, or can’t afford the upfront cost. That’s where plug-in solar comes in! These relatively low-cost panels can be plugged right into an outlet, generating electricity for your home appliances while the sun shines and offseting your electricity bill. No waits for permitting or interconnection fees. These solar panels can be zip-tied to railing, attached to balconies, or mounted on small frames in a yard. Plug-in solar is currently legal in only Utah and Virginia, but that’s about to change here in Illinois with your help. Please indicate your support for SB3104 to legalize plug-in solar and help renters and homeowners save money. Thank you!
