TCB Racing and Onward Motion HELPS is providing the opportunity for 4 people with a disability to be drivers in the Lemons Race at the Road America Racetrack in Elkhart Lake, WI on May 8-10 2026.

Racetrack address: N 7390 WI-67, Plymouth, WI 53073

The race car is a Mini Cooper with installed hand controls. The car meets all safety requirements for the track, and each driver must wear all safety gear (will be provided).

Only apply if your disability is one that requires the use of hand controls to operate a motor vehicle. Due to safety and insurance requirements, the applicant must have full upper body strength, and have full use of their arms, hands and fingers to operate the hand controls in the race car.

The use of cannabis (Marijuana, THC or similar) is not allowed the day before practice day and during the entire race event. This includes medical marijuana users. Other substances and prescription medications that can affect safe driving are also not allowed.

Each driver must be physically fit to handle the stress and strain of event.

WARNING: Racing is Exceedingly Taxing, both Physically and Mentally. The longer you remain in the car, the more intense this taxation may be. When driving a racecar, you’ll be exposed to extreme (both high and low) temperatures; to dense smoke and fumes; to intense shocks and vibration; to very loud noises; and to a variety of other unusual, exhausting, confusing, and stressful conditions. EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU’RE IN EXCELLENT HEALTH, TELL YOUR DOCTOR WHAT YOU’RE PLANNING TO DO; GET A FULL PRE-COMPETITION PHYSICAL EXAM BEFORE YOU START RACING.
If selected, the person will be responsible for the following.
- must provide their own transportation to and from the Lemons Race event.
- must provide for their own lodging and food.
- must agree to the Lemons Race Rules and pay for a Lemons Racing License at a cost of $100 USD. The Lemons Racing License is valid for 1 year from date of purchase. (if selected, you will be sent a link)
- must be at the event and available to drive with the team for the entire event.
- must follow all instructions and track requirements set forth by TCB Racing.
- Is responsible for the safety gear provided for the event (Suit, gloves, helmet, socks, etc.)
The person will NOT be paid for being involved with the event.

The person will NOT be charged any team or track fees to be involved.

The person will NOT share in any winnings from the event (if applicable)

The person must also meet the minimum requirements to drive at a Lemons Race event.

Lemons Race Requirements

- Driver must be at least 18 years of age
- Driver must have a valid U.S. or International driver’s license
- Driver must have a valid Lemons Competition Membership at the time of the race. DO NOT REGISTER UNTIL SELECTED TO BE A DRIVER - LINK WILL BE EMAILED BY TCB RACING.
NOTE: Onward Motion HELPS will provide each selected driver with a one-time check of $500 to help pay for registration and misc. costs. The funds will be paid to each selected driver on the last day of the event.

Driver payout is dependent on event participation and team involvement. Final payment is at the discretion of Onward Motion HELPS.
