    Client Responsibilities
Your horse must be up-to-date on vaccines prior to arrival. We also recommend having your horse’s teeth checked, wolf teeth pulled etc. Dental services can be arranged as needed.

Horse must be in good health with no known transmittable diseases upon arrival.

Martin Ranch uses all our own tack, including halters. Please take your halter with you when you leave the horse. If you do leave your halter here, we cannot guarantee its return.

If you leave a blanket with your horse, please have it marked with your name and your horse’s name. Martin Ranch will not replace any blankets, as wear and tear happens with use.

Martin Ranch recommends health and mortality insurance on your horse. Martin Ranch will not be held responsible for any injury, sickness or death of horse while in training or living on the premises. Martin Ranch will not be held responsible for future behaviour in your horse after taking it home, due to the unpredictability of horses and many variables such as environment and experience of the handler. Martin Ranch, Chet and Amy Martin and any employees or associates will not be liable for any client injury that may occur while visiting and/or riding.

    Board and Training
Board and training is $1225 plus HST per month. An additional $50 cattle fee for all horses worked on cattle and/or buffalo will be added. All accounts are billed at the beginning of the month and are due upon receipt. All accounts must be paid in full before the horse(s) are removed from Martin Ranch. Accounts overdue by 60 days will incur a 3% interest fee compounded monthly.

Veterinary Services and supplies are managed by Martin Ranch, but are the sole responsibility of the client and will be billed directly to the owner of the horse, or put on your monthly statement.

Farrier work is scheduled and paid by Martin Ranch as needed, and billed out monthly.

Hauling is charged at $0.35/km and will be billed on your monthly statement.

Accommodations and other show related expenses will be split between all clients at show, and billed monthly as well.

We prefer to have the client pay for the show bill at the show if at all possible, but if the client is unable to be there, or have a payment method on file, Martin Ranch will pay for the show bill and add it to your monthly statement along with other show costs, such as hauling etc.

Any winnings won by Chet or any assistants working for Martin Ranch, will be split 50/50 with the owner, after the entry fees for the winning runs have been deducted (deductions not including other show fees like stall, practice works, office fees etc). Clients can either pay Chet or assistants directly or it will be billed on your monthly statement.

When a turn back horse (for cutting shows) is hauled to a show, the cost of the stall, bedding, and any health papers needed will be split with the clients who have horses attending the show.
