The Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Knowledge and Skills (ORIKS) Framework provides a shared understanding of the skills and competencies needed to plan, develop, and manage high‑quality outdoor recreation infrastructure in Ireland. It also helps identify current training provision and where future training is most needed.
By completing this survey, you are contributing essential insights that will help us pinpoint skill gaps and shape the development of new, targeted training for the sector. Your input is vital to strengthening capacity across outdoor recreation in Ireland.
The survey is expected to take around 10–15 minutes. You can save your responses and resume at a later stage if you are unable to complete it in one sitting. The save button is at the end of this page.
Thank you for taking the time to participate. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
The next few questions are in relation to the 14 themes in the OUTDOOR RECREATION INFRASTRUCTURE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS (ORIKS) Framework.
The framework can be located here: ORIKS Framework
Please indicate whether you are involved in each of the themes listed below. If you select ‘Yes,’ you will be asked three follow‑up questions about the competencies within that theme.
For detailed descriptions of each competency and its associated skill levels, please refer to the ORIKS Framework.
