The Sara Lucas Legacy Fund
The Sara Lucas Legacy Fund was created in honor of a talented young actress who has been on the Temple stage numerous times over the past few years. Sara Lucas was 13 years old and unexpectedly passed away on the night of January 16, 2026 after a serious bout with the flu. That weekend she was cast as "Mary Poppins" but never made it on stage due to illness. Steve and Supranee Lucas and Sara's sister, Scarlett, remain treasured friends and members of our theater family. Sara continues to inspire actors who were on stage with her and had the fortune of calling her a friend. She was a young woman of deep faith and took to heart the mission to "love as Jesus would." Sara's life is a beautiful example kindness and love and it is in this spirit that scholarships are offered in her name. Sara Lucas blesses us still.
