• BCSC Board of Directors Nominations

  • BC Sport Cheer requires the work from a volunteer board and many dedicated volunteers across BC. We have four (4) vacancies that must be filled this AGM. All are for a two year term.

Workload is a few hours a week, at least one 2 hour meeting a month, help running the provincial championship and additional duties to help fulfill the strategic plan.

Some things to consider when deciding if you would like to be a board member:

    • It's important to consider the needs of all cheer programs, not just your own.
    • You will be working collaboratively with board members to move the sport forward.
    • This is a working board which means that some tasks will need to be completed by board members.
    • These may include contributing to the Strategic Plan, writing handbooks, contributing to policy development, assisting with sanctioning at competitions, grant writing, social media content development, print and web material development, etc.
    • Board meetings are typically extremely late at night due to everyone’s coaching and work schedule.
    • Board members must reside in BC and be 19+.

    The remaining board composition is:

    • Aly Bradford
    • Kennedy Love
    • Melanie Martens

The board employs one part-time executive director and one casual part-time social media manager.

Applications are due April 20th to be included in the pre-meeting package.

Nominations from the floor will be allowed but will not receive the benefit of an introduction.
