  • In celebration of "National Ride a Bike Day", we invite you to join Supervisor Juli Briskman & Bike Loudoun on a casual 8-mile community bike ride in Algonkian. This event is free and open to the public. We also invite you to stay and socialize after the ride! Delicious food and drink from Route 7 Brewing will be available for purchase.

     

    WHEN: May 3, 2026

    TIME: 10:00AM - 1:00PM

    WHERE: Starts/Ends at Route 7 Brewing (20051 Riverside Commons Plaza Unit 148, Ashburn, VA 20147)

    WHAT TO BRING: Bicycle & helmet (required), casual/comfortable gym clothing or cyclingwear (recommended), reusable water bottle (recommended).

     

    Check-in begins at 10AM. Maverick Bikes will be on-site to do bike checks for the ride. At 10:45AM, Bike Loudoun will perform a road safety demonstration. The bike ride will begin promptly at 11AM.

    The event is rain or shine, but in the event of inclement or dangerous weather conditions, the event will be postponed to a later date.

    Every participant in your group must submit the registration & sign the liability form below. One (1) participant per registration & liability form.

    **Note: The route will not be suitable for children on training wheels, or children who are inexperienced at riding in a group. Participants must be 18 or over, or between 13-17 with parent/guardian permission.

  • WARNING AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE

    1. GENERAL LIABILITY WARNING: I understand that participating in the event called “Biking with Briskman: Algonkian Community Bike Ride” a bike ride tour traveling the roadways and trails that run through the Algonkian District and part of the Broad Run District, Virginia on May 3, 2026, or, in the event of inclement weather, on a rain date to be determined, necessarily involves potentially hazardous activities and risks, including death or serious bodily injury.

    2. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK: By signing this Waiver, I acknowledge that I have read and understood the above General Liability and, in consideration of my participation in the event, I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks. I accept sole responsibility for any injury, illness, disability, death, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, which results from or arises out of the event. Juli Briskman, as Algonkian District Supervisor of the County of Loudoun, Virginia, has organized this event, I am aware that I am solely responsible for my own health and safety, and I represent that I am able to safely participate in this event.

    3. RELEASE: I understand that my signature on this Waiver constitutes arelease and discharge on behalf of myself, my predecessors, successors, assigns, agents, heirs, executors, administrators, and representatives, of County of Loudoun, Virginia, its County of Loudoun Board of Supervisors and its members past and present, its employees, both in their individual and official capacities, and their respective predecessors, successors, assigns, heirs, executors, administrators, present and former agents, present and former employees, and present and former representatives; the organization “Bike Loudoun”, and its directors, officers, agents, employees, and volunteers from all claims, debts, liabilities, demands, obligations, promises, acts, agreements, costs, expenses (including, but not limited to, attorneys’ fees and costs), damages, actions, and causes of action, of any kind or nature, that I have or may have under any theory of law, whether now known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, previously asserted or presently unasserted, fixed or contingent, which I have or may have, based on, or arising out of my participation in this event. I agree that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and that if any portion of this release is held to be invalid, I agree that the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.

    4. CAPACITY: I am eighteen (18) years of age or older, or I have been permitted to participate in this program by my parent or guardian, who has signed this waiver form.
