  • Doctrinal Statement

Please read the below statement in its entirety and select one of the options at the bottom.
  • I believe the scriptures to be the inspired Word of God, without error in its original writing. The Holy Bible is the complete revelation of God’s will for salvation and is the final authority for Christian faith and life.

I believe there is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit

I believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having been conceived of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and then He arose bodily from the dead on the third day. He ascended into heaven and is at the right hand of God.

The ministry of the Holy Spirit on this earth is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, convict all people of their sins, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.

I believe all people are created in the image of God. But all have sinned and all are separated from God and need a Savior from their sin.

I believe it is only the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection that provide the only foundation for salvation, forgiveness of sins, and justification for all who believe.

  • Cell Phones and Media

At Lake Lavon, we want summer staff to be fully present so they can build meaningful relationships, grow personally and spiritually, and help create a positive camp environment. Movies, music, and games are welcome in designated common areas during appropriate times, as long as they are suitable for all audiences. To support engagement and presence, cell phones will be kept in a designated area and may be used during designated times. Phones should not be carried during work or inside cabins unless required for your role or while you are off duty. This guideline will be checked periodically throughout the summer to help maintain our shared expectations and support the camp environment.
