PERFORMANCE AGREEMENT: DMV BACKYARD JAM
This Agreement is entered into between DMV Backyard Jam (the "Organizer") and the Performer (the "Artist"). By purchasing a performance slot and signing this document, the Artist agrees to the following terms and conditions to ensure a professional and successful event.
1. PRE-SHOW REQUIREMENTS
Upon registration, the Artist must complete the following actions by the announced deadline:
Media: Upload a high-resolution headshot labeled with the Artist's professional stage name for promotional materials.
Technical: Upload two (2) performance tracks to the designated folder using the format: ARTIST NAME_TRACK TITLE_ORDER# (e.g., JohnDoe_SongTitle_1).
Legal: Return a signed copy of this agreement using the Artist’s legal name.
2. SCHEDULE & PUNCTUALITY
Call Times: Artists will be assigned to a performance group (A, B, C, or D). Artists are required to check in at both the Door and the DJ Booth at their group's designated call time.
Check-in: Arriving late for check-in may result in the Artist being moved to the end of their group or forfeiting their slot entirely if the schedule does not permit.
Show Progression: Artists must stay attentive to the show’s flow. Real-time updates will be provided via the official GroupMe thread.
3. PERFORMANCE GUIDELINES
Set Length: Sets are strictly limited to ten (10) minutes for two (2) songs.
Time Enforcement: To ensure fairness to all talent, any performance exceeding the 10-minute window will be stopped abruptly.
Stage Etiquette: Avoid repeating hooks or restarting tracks. To conclude a set, the Artist should use a clear hand gesture to cue the band/DJ to stop the music.
4. MEDIA & DOCUMENTATION
Authorized Media: Unauthorized professional recording or photography devices are strictly prohibited.
Media Passes: Any videographer or photographer accompanying an Artist must purchase a Media Pass or be officially accredited by the Organizer.
Production Team Option: Media personnel may request to have their fee waived by joining the official production team to capture the event in its entirety.
5. ENTRY & GUESTS
Access: Artist entry is valid for the performing Artist only.
Plus-Ones: There are no free plus-ones. Managers, friends, and family must purchase a ticket for admission. There are no exceptions to this policy.
6. MEDIA RELEASE & LIKENESS
By signing this agreement, the Artist grants DMV Backyard Jam the right to use the Artist's image, likeness, and audio/video recordings from the event for promotional and marketing purposes. The Organizer agrees to keep the Artist’s legal name private and will only use their stage name for public-facing materials.
7. REFUND & RESCHEDULING POLICY
Final Sale: All ticket sales and performance fees are final.
No Refunds: Refunds will not be issued for sets cut short due to time violations, missed call times, or Artist dissatisfaction with their own performance.
Force Majeure: If the event is rescheduled due to weather, safety concerns, or "Acts of God," the Artist's slot will be honored at the next scheduled event.
