1. Community Conduct - I/We understand that Carpe Diem Arts is committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all participants. Bullying, harassment, violence, smoking on property, use of illicit drugs, or any behavior that jeopardizes the emotional or physical well-being of participants will not be tolerated. I/We understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the Retreat at the discretion of the Retreat Facilitator without refund.2. Courtesy and Health Responsibility - I/We agree to be courteous and considerate of other participants. If I/we become ill prior to the Retreat, I/we will notify the Retreat Facilitator and cancel our attendance. If illness occurs during the Retreat, I/we agree to follow the guidance of the Retreat Facilitator, which may include leaving the premises to protect the health and well-being of others.3. Respect for Property - I/We agree to respect the property and facilities where the Retreat takes place and to notify the Retreat Facilitator of any damage that occurs. I/We understand that I/we may be responsible for damages caused by my/our actions.4. Assumption of Risk - I/We understand that participation in Retreat activities involves inherent risks of injury, illness, or other harm. I/We voluntarily choose to participate and accept responsibility for exercising reasonable care for my/our own safety while attending the Retreat and using the facilities. I/We acknowledge that participation in water-related activities involves additional inherent risks, including but not limited to injury or drowning. I/We understand that no lifeguard or water safety personnel will be present and that I/we are responsible for my/our own safety while engaging in water-related activities. I/We further acknowledge that I/we will participate in water activities only if I/we feel capable of doing so safely and will exercise my/our own judgment regarding swimming ability and water conditions. I/We agree that Carpe Diem Arts, Inc., its staff, volunteers, and the property owners shall not be responsible for injuries or damages arising from the inherent risks of participation in these activities.5. Emergency Transportation Permission - I/We give permission to Carpe Diem Arts, Inc., its staff, and volunteers to arrange transportation for me/us off the Retreat property for medical care if deemed necessary by the Retreat Facilitator. Every reasonable effort will be made to contact the Emergency Contact listed above.6. Emergency Medical Authorization - I/We authorize Carpe Diem Arts staff or volunteers to obtain emergency medical treatment for me/us from emergency medical personnel and/or at the nearest medical facility if necessary. Every reasonable effort will be made to contact the Emergency Contact listed above.7. Medical Insurance Responsibility - I/We understand that the Retreat does not provide accident or medical insurance for participants. I/We acknowledge that any medical expenses incurred, including hospital care, physician services, or prescription medications, will be my/our responsibility.8. Photography and Media - I/We understand that photographs, video recordings, or audio recordings may be taken during the Retreat. By participating, I/we grant permission to Carpe Diem Arts, Inc. to use such images or recordings that may include my/our likeness for educational, promotional, or documentation purposes in print, digital media, or online platforms, without compensation. If I/we prefer not to appear in photographs or recordings, I/we will notify the Retreat Facilitator so reasonable efforts can be made to respect that request.
