Do you know a housing-related nonprofit that makes a difference in your community?
Consider submitting an application for a 2026 Housing & Homeless Assistance Grant to help support their work with funding of up to $2,500. Grants are available to housing-related 501(c)(3) nonprofits that provide services such as shelter, food and clothing, mortgage or rental assistance, homebuyer counseling, or similar support in one of GBAR’s 64 cities and towns or in a community where a member firm is located.
Eligibility: Monetary grants are available to housing-related non-profit organizations, defined as 501(c)(3) entities which provide shelter, food and clothing, mortgage and/or rental assistance, home buyer counseling or other similar support to individuals and households that are located in or operate within the jurisdiction of the Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®/GBREB or an adjacent community in which a GBAR member firm is located.
Each application must contain the following documentation:
- 501(c)(3) Tax Form
- Massachusetts Form PC
- Budget Overview Document (including projected revenues and expenses, percentage of expense to income, and number of staff for the organization)
- IRS Form 990
Funding: Grants will be limited in size to no more than $2,500 and will be awarded based on several factors, including the size and scope of organization nominated or seeking a grant, the number of applications received, the GBREB Foundation balance and total donations made to the GBREB Foundation by GBAR members in a given year.
Application Period & Deadline: The deadline is June 9, 2026. Grant recipients will be selected by the GBAR Charitable Grants Committee and grants will be approved by the GBAR Board of Directors in late June/July.
