Named after Gretchen Boyd, the society’s founder and first president, this award celebrates her lasting impact on the club and the Winter Garden community.

Gretchen’s vision emphasized the importance of plants and gardens in enhancing quality of life and community vitality. Under her leadership, Bloom & Grow launched landmark initiatives such as The Path of Life, Spring Fever in the Garden, and The Monarch Project. She built strong partnerships with the City of Winter Garden and local businesses, helping the club grow to nearly 200 members and enabling it to fund community grants and horticulture scholarships.

The award will be presented each September to a member who demonstrates the same dedication, vision, and leadership that Gretchen embodied.
