I am writing to strongly support your proposal to modernize William Land Park’s safety and infrastructure.
Specifically, I urge the City to move forward with:
- Pedestrian/Bike Safety: Implementing the "car-free" pilot programs (Panhandle and Bike Loop) to create safe recreation zones for families.
- Security Upgrades: Conducting a CEPTED study and deploying better lighting and cameras to secure the park at night.
- A Balanced Working Group: Ensuring residents have a seat at the table alongside the Zoo and sports programs.
- Revenue Reinvestment: Keeping funds generated within the park dedicated to its own maintenance and safety.
