Parent Engagement at Wee Folk Forest & Bramble Hedge Transitional Kindergarten

To build a support system around parents during these delightful and challenging years of parenting young children—we are committed to creating moments throughout the year where your cup gets filled up too. We ask each family to commit to involvement in the community through at least ONE of the following Connection Networks. The benefits of the forest are not just for our children, they are also for us, the keepers of early childhood and the builders of dreams for our families. When we show up for each other, we build connections, we feel less alone, we dream together, and life is BETTER.
Growing Things: Opportunities throughout the year created for helping with our compost and greenhouse program, where we get our hands dirty, watch things grow and do fun science experiments with regenerative practices. This network also includes forest beautification, where we plant bulbs/flowers as surprises for the children to find every spring.Thought Groups: Opportunities include the forest book club, which meets regularly throughout the year—where we explore topics such as parenting and nature, early childhood and philosophies of living. Additional coffee hours are offered as a way to find and make connections with each other.Calming and Centering: Opportunities for yoga/meditation/centering practices. Come join us for yoga in the sunshine and yoga in the snow. *Yoga classes and accompanying childcare in the forest are provided for any parent in our community.Building/Making/Creating: Opportunities for those who like to make things with your hands! We have an ongoing list of projects that need a handy hand, and we recognize the meditative nature of creating—it does our spirits much good. Projects include everything from building infrastructure for the children such as benches, tables, shade provision and play structures to renovations of existing materials or environment. Both solo and collaborative opportunities available.Regulation Through Music: Opportunities for playing accompaniment music in the forest while the children run and play, as well as children’s music class opportunities if you have a song or two to share! We also love for folks to accompany our twice annual picnics, as well as work days. Music eases every task and brings us joy.

Discounts, Fees, & Financial Policies

Financial Policies
- Monthly Auto-Debits for Tuition: Please note that all families choosing the monthly tuition payment plan will be asked to complete our Credit Card Authorization Form for auto-debits on Aug 1, Sept 1, Oct 1, Nov 1, Dec 1, Jan 1, Feb 1, Mar 1, Apr 1 & May 1.
- Early Withdrawal
  If you find yourself needing to withdraw your child(ren) from Wee Folk Forest or Bramble Hedge Transitional Kindergarten prior to the end of the school year, you will be refunded (when relevant) your remaining tuition, minus a penalty of 2 months' tuition. Please note that if you request a schedule reduction for your child, anytime after the school year starts, the reduction is counted as an early withdrawal and our 2 month tuition penalty will apply to the dropped days/times. If you are on a monthly tuition auto-debit schedule, your tuition will continue to be debited for 2 months after early withdrawal or reducing your child's schedule at any time during the school year.
- Rolling Admission
  We accept students on a rolling basis throughout the school year, as long as we have space remaining in the program. If you enroll after the beginning of the year, your tuition will be prorated accordingly, to account for any missed weeks. After January 1, 2027, your enrollment fee and work day/connection network commitment fee will both be reduced by 50%.
- Our Litigious Culture
- Friends, a gentle word here on our litigious culture, in which legal action is threatened at the slightest provocation. We want to say, as a reminder, that we exist to serve families. We are not taking advantage of anyone, we always aim to be as reasonable as humanly possible. Please know that our financial policies exist purely as a way to protect the school and that we have learned over the years what is required for the sustainability of our programs. If you have read through our financial policies and feel that our school is not for you, that is totally fine. We stand for every person's right to make decisions that feel good--and we trust that any family who decides to join our programs feels aligned with our mission, values and policies.
Fees
- Enrollment Fee*: A $200 Enrollment Fee is required for each student
- Work Day & Connection Network Commitment Fee: A $350 commitment fee is required per family, and is partially reimbursed at the rate of $75 per work day attended by at least 1 member of your family. Work Days for 2026-2027 School Year take place on Saturday, Oct 3rd and Saturday, May 8th. Your Connection Network Commitment Fee covers all required materials or staff time for our required Parent Engagement program.
- Tuition Deposits*: Tuition is divided into 12 equal payments, with one payment due at time of enrollment and one payment due on July 1, 2026. All remaining tuition payments are due monthly on Aug 1, Sept 1, Oct 1, Nov 1, Dec 1, Jan 1, Feb 1, Mar 1, Apr 1 & May 1.
- *Enrollment Fee & Tuition Deposits are non-refundable.
Discounts
- Sibling Discount: We offer a sibling discount of 5% off of tuition for each sibling.
- Annual Payment Incentive: The incentive for making one payment annually is a 2% savings on your total yearly tuition if paid by August 1st. Your first two payments (at time of enrollment and on July 1st) are still due, and are counted towards your yearly tuition total.

*Combination Dual/Morning/Afternoon tuitions are worked out on a case-by-case basis.

**Minimum of two days per week. However, a one-class-per-week option is offered to all families experiencing financial hardship or scheduling challenges.

***Tuition listed is per month for 12 months, due at time of enrollment, on July 1 and then monthly during the school year August 2026-May 2027. If you enroll after the start of the school year, your tuition will be calculated based on days remaining in the school year at a rate of $85 per morning or afternoon class and $135 per dual class full day.

An Enrollment Fee ($200 per child), Work Day/Network Connection Commitment Fee ($350 per family) & 1st tuition payment is required to process your enrollment, and will only be deposited if your child is accepted into the program.
