1. Services Provided
Canines on Track agrees to provide professional dog training and/or related services as discussed with the Client.
Services may include but are not limited to:
• Private training sessions
• Behavioral consultations
• Boarding
• Board-and-train programs
• Day training or daycare
• Enrichment services
• Other services offered by Canines on Track.
The Client agrees to pay the applicable service fee as outlined by Canines on Track at the time of booking.
2. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
• Follow the Trainer’s instructions and recommendations regarding the Dog’s training and care
• Practice training exercises between sessions when applicable
• Provide accurate and complete information regarding the Dog’s health, behavior, and history
The Client understands that successful training depends greatly on the Client’s participation, consistency, and follow-through.
3. Payment & Cancellation Policy
Payment for services must be made according to the terms provided at the time of booking.
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the Client being responsible for the full cost of the scheduled service.
4. Health & Vaccination Requirements
The Client confirms that the Dog:
• Is in good general health
• Is up to date on required vaccinations
• Is free from contagious illness or parasites
Proof of vaccinations may be required prior to participation in training, boarding, or other services.
5. Behavioural Disclosure
The Client agrees to disclose any known behavioural concerns including but not limited to:
• Aggression toward people
• Aggression toward other animals
• Bite history
• Resource guarding
• Severe anxiety or reactivity
Failure to disclose known behavioural concerns may result in immediate termination of services without refund.
6. Veterinary Care Authorization
If the Dog becomes ill or injured while in the care of Canines on Track and the Client cannot be reached, the Client authorizes Canines on Track to seek veterinary care if deemed necessary.
The Client agrees to be fully responsible for any veterinary expenses incurred.
7. Training Results
The Trainer will make every reasonable effort to assist the Client in achieving their training goals. However, the Client understands that:
• Dogs are individuals
• Training results cannot be guaranteed
• Results depend on many factors including consistency, environment, and the Client’s participation.
8. Assumption of Risk
The Client understands that dogs are animals and may behave unpredictably.
Participation in dog training, boarding, daycare, or enrichment activities carries inherent risks including but not limited to:
• bites
• scratches
• injury to people or animals
• property damage
The Client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participation in services provided by Canines on Track.
9. Release of Liability
The Client agrees to release and hold harmless Jackie De Sousa and Canines on Track from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses arising out of or related to the Dog’s participation in training or related services.
10. Dog Interaction Disclaimer
The Client understands that interactions between dogs carry inherent risks.
While reasonable precautions are taken, Canines on Track cannot guarantee the behavior of any dog and is not responsible for injuries resulting from interactions between dogs participating in training, boarding, daycare, or related services.
11. Dog Handling & Escape Risk
Reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the safety and control of the Dog during training, boarding, transport, or outdoor activities.
However, dogs may occasionally slip collars, break equipment, or escape despite reasonable care.
The Client agrees that Canines on Track and Jackie De Sousa are not responsible for loss, injury, or damages resulting from the Dog escaping or running away, provided reasonable care and safety measures were taken.
12. Property Damage
The Client agrees to be responsible for any damage caused by the Dog to property, equipment, or facilities belonging to Canines on Track.
13. Indemnification
The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Jackie De Sousa and Canines on Track from any claims, damages, legal actions, or expenses arising from the Dog’s behavior during or after participation in services.
14. Right to Refuse or Terminate Services
The Trainer reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if:
• The Dog poses a safety risk
• The Dog injures a person or another animal
• Required information about the Dog is withheld
• The Client fails to follow safety instructions or training guidelines
