Cooking Up Conservation has some qualifications to become a contestant.
1. Be a resident or landowner of Alger County 2. Bake a pie with ingredients available during Tree Sale 3. Bake two (2) pies, one for the judges and one for people tasting, and be willing to share your recipe in its entirety for everyone to know what pie was just so good it won! This is also to make sure our judges and tasters won't run into any allergy emergencies. 4. Be open to us sharing about you and your pie to everyone that will listen!
If you said no to any of these questions you are disqualified from entering your pie in the contest.
Sorry! If you really want to compete, try moving to our beautiful county, tasting some of what grows here, tossing aside the "secret ingredients", and showing off that pie!
