Nature and Term of Coaching
1. Nature of Coaching
Academic and mindfulness coaching supports focus, wellbeing, confidence, and academic development.
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
If concerns arise that fall outside the scope of coaching, you may be advised to seek support from a GP or qualified healthcare professional.
2. Confidentiality & Safeguarding
Sessions are private to support trust and openness.
However, may be limited in exeptional circumstances, including serious or imminent risk of harm to the young person or others, safeguarding concerns, where disclosure is required by law. In such cases appropriate individuals may be contacted. This may include: Parent/Guardian, Emergency services, GP, Relevant safeguarding authorities. Where appropriate and possible this will be discussed beforehand.
3. Parental Involvement
Parents/guardians will not routinely receive detailed session content in order to preserve trust.
However, general progress updates may be provided where agreed.
Parents/guardians will be informed if safeguarding issues arise.
4. Online sessions
Sessions are conducted via video platform.
The parent/guardian agrees to ensure the young person:
Attends sessions from a safe and private space. Has supervision appropriate to their age
5. Client Responsibility
You acknowledge that: Coaching is a collaborative process
You are responsible for your own decisions and actions
Outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
6. Governing Law
Coaching services are provided from England and governed by the laws of England and Wales.
