    The Application Process
    1) Apply: Complete the Pre Con Service Crew application form below.
    2) Notification: You will be notified of your acceptance status by Ava Larsen, our 2026 Service Crew Lead.
    3) Registration: Upon acceptance, you will receive a unique discount code via email to complete your conference registration.

    Service Crew Benefits
    All Service Crew members receive a free conference t-shirt and a registration discount:

    New Crew Members: $35 off the Early Bird rate.
    Returning Crew Members: $50 off the Early Bird rate (for those who served on Crew in Black Mountain, Madison, Estes Park, or Pittsburgh within the last 4 years).

    ⚠️ IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ
    Do not register for the pre-conference until you have been officially accepted and received your discount code. We are unable to provide refunds for the price difference if you register prior to receiving your code.

    Commitment & Orientation
    Hours: Crew members typically work between 6 and 12 hours before and/or during the conference.
    First Timers: We highly encourage first-time attendees and volunteers to apply! Previous experience is not required.
    Orientation: All accepted members must attend one Service Crew Orientation (dates to be announced).
    Selection: Positions are filled on a rolling basis; early application is highly encouraged.

  • Have you been on Service Crew for TAPG or AEE within the last 4 years (Black Mountain, NC; Madison, WI; Estes Park, CO; or Pittsburgh, PA)?*

    The Pre-conference runs Tuesday, Nov 10th (7am) through Wednesday, Nov 11th (9pm).

  • Are you available to assist with set up on Monday prior to the Pre-conference, or final clean up on Wednesday night prior to AEE Main Conference?*

  • APPLICATION PROCESS

    1) Complete the Service Crew application.

    2) You'll be notified of your acceptance as a Service Crew member by callie@aee.org 

    3) You'll be emailed a discount code to register for the conference by callie@aee.org upon acceptance.

    SERVICE CREW DISCOUNTS

    • $50 off Early Bird pricing for new service crew members + free conference t-shirt
    • $75 off Early Bird pricing for returning service crew members (those who have been on service crew in the last 4 years either in Black Mountain, Madison, Estes Park, or Pittsburgh) + free conference t-shirt

    **DO NOT REGISTER PRIOR TO BEING ACCEPTED / RECEIVING THE DISCOUNT CODE.

    If you register before being accepted and receiving the discount code, you will not be refunded for the difference.

    Early application completion is encouraged with positions available until filled. Service Crew members generally work between 10 and 24 hours during and/or before the conference and must attend one of the Service Crew Orientations.

    By submitting this application I agree to:

    1. Work at least 10 hours and no more than 24 hours. 

    2. Attend one Service Crew Orientation meeting and stay for the duration of the conference unless otherwise authorized.  

    3. Work at least one shift during workshop times. 

    4. Register and pay prior to the conference, understanding that I need to wait to register until I have been approved and given the service crew discount (or my discounts will be forfeited).
