Program Purpose:
The MINT Foundation, through its Community Transformation & Empowerment Program in partnership with the City of DeSoto, provides financial assistance toward approved projects that improve property safety, exterior beautification, and overall livability for City of Desoto residents.
Project Description:
All services will be non-structural and limited in scope. Services are intended to improve basic safety, sanitation, and property appearance
Services may include but are not limited to:
- Minor plumbing repairs
- Installation of smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detectors
- Lawn mowing / grass cutting
- Fence repair
- Trash and debris cleanup
- Tree trimming or small tree removal
- Pool drainage or pool cleanup
- Installation of house numbers
- Exterior painting or touch-up painting
- Removal of inoperable vehicles
- Bulk trash removal or property debris removal
- Minor exterior improvements that enhance safety and neighborhood appearance
Service Limitations:
This program does not include major structural repairs, including:
- Roof replacement
- Foundation work
- Major plumbing or electrical system replacement
- Structural construction or renovations
Funding /Application:
Assistance is limited to available program funding and HUD guidance. Completion of an application does not guarantee funding.
All applicants must complete the Property Owner/Landlord Authorization Form. If you are the property owner, complete and sign the form yourself. If you are a tenant, the property owner or landlord must complete and sign the form.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED IN THE ORDER RECEIVED. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNTIL ALL REQURED DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED.
