SDM Spring Market 2026 Volunteer Sign Up

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the San Diego Made Spring Fair on Saturday, May 2nd in La Mesa Village! This one day FREE artisan market features over 120 local makers and handmade vendors, live music from San Diego artists, gourmet food trucks, photo booths, make-and-take craft stations, and interactive art and play areas.

Volunteers are essential to our events and keep prices for our makers and handmade vendors accessible. You’ll meet some great people, have a super rewarding time, and get a swag bag filled with goodies in return.

Please Note: This is a Two-Step Process

Select Your Shifts: Please fill out the form below for shifts you can commit to work. You may sign up for multiple shifts (note: thank-you gift bags are limited to one per volunteer, per event).
Mandatory Confirmation: We will reach out to you via email a few weeks before the event to confirm you availability and share additional event shift details.
- If we do not receive a confirmation reply from you, we will assume you are no longer attending. We get it! Plans change, but this means a position will not be held for you and a thank-you gift bag will not be reserved in your name.

Pre-Event Prep Volunteer Shifts (Unpaid)

Please ONLY select shifts you are available to work. Signing up here commits you to that position. You may sign up for multiple shifts, and you will recieve one thank you gift bag per event, not per shift.

Volunteers help prep for the event by painting, assembling signage, organizing materials, preparing vendor bags, and creating interactive art pieces and decor.

Event Day Volunteer Roles and Shifts

Event Set Up: Help direct vendors to booth locations and assist with assembling and placing umbrellas, decor, furniture, trash bins, signage, and event equipment as well as other tasks.
Event Support: During the event, volunteers may assist vendors and guests, staff information booths, empty trash and maintain cleanliness, operate non-alcoholic drink stands and ensure a smooth experience.
Event Tear Down: Dismantling and staging umbrellas decor, furniture, signage, and event equipment in place for moving crew to collect. Collecting, bagging and dumping event trash as well as other tasks.

Physical Requirements: Most roles require standing and walking for long periods of time. Lifting and moving items up to 30lbs.
