How do I know that I have been accepted to volunteer?
You will receive a confirmation email from info@culinariasa.org that you have been registered. If necessary, an additional email will be sent to confirm a specific shift for your volunteer assignment.
What are the different jobs?
Tasks can range from a variety of things, especially depending on the event. The primary tasks include wine pouring/beer serving/cocktail serving and registration assistance. We do need assistance on occasion with seminars and event set-up.
Where do I park?
Parking is on your own for each of the events.
When do I need to be there?
Please plan to be on-site 15 minutes prior to the start time of your shift to start your check-in process.
How and where do I check in?
The volunteer check-in will be at registration for each of the events.
What if my availability changes?
Please let us know as soon as possible as we depend on you and your availability. We rely on the Volunteer Registration as your commitment to volunteering.
How do volunteers contact Culinaria?
You can reach us by email at info@culinariasa.org or by phone at (210) 822-9555. Please add info@culinariasa.org to your contacts list to make sure you receive our emails and they aren't landing in your Junk/Spam folder.
What do I wear for my volunteer shift(s)?
For each of the events, business casual with comfortable shoes is the best approach. Please know that many of our events are outside, so, any heels are best left at home.
Bag Policy
Please note that we are adapting our policies to other festivals and large format events; Large bags and backpacks are not allowed. Bags must be clear or no larger than 4.5” or 6.5.”
What are the perks of volunteering?
Our hope is that you volunteer to do good for your community. Each event of Culinaria is to promote San Antonio as a destination for premier wine and food, meaning we have many visitors that attend our events to enjoy our dining and beverage options. And we rely on volunteers to help us make this possible! In addition, during the events, we hope that you can enjoy a break so that might experience the food and beverages featured at the events.
What should I not do at Culinaria events?
Volunteers should not drink behind the tables, it is illegal to do so while serving alcoholic beverages; volunteers should also not leave any event with alcohol (open or bottled), unless permission is granted by Culinaria. Volunteers found to be drinking behind the table, overly intoxicated or who attempt to leave the event with alcohol will be asked to leave immediately and will not be eligible to volunteer at future Culinaria events.
