    A songwriting workshop for ages 12-17.  Run by Rob Edwards, an Australian Western Arrernte Aboriginal singer-songwriter, whose work centres on storytelling, creativity, and connection. His sessions are engaging, interactive, and tailored to suit the age group — blending live music with conversations around songwriting, self-expression, culture, and creativity.

  • Workshop Participation Terms & Conditions

    By registering for and attending this workshop, participants and their parent/guardian agree to the following terms and conditions:

    1. Eligibility
    This workshop is intended for youth participants within the advertised age range. Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to attend.

    2. Registration and Attendance
    Participants are expected to arrive on time and attend the full duration of the workshop unless otherwise arranged. If a participant is unable to attend, they should notify the organizer as soon as possible.

    3. Code of Conduct
    Participants are expected to follow the West End Cultural Centre’s Safe Space Policy and behave respectfully toward facilitators, staff, volunteers, and other participants. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, disruptive behavior, or unsafe actions will not be tolerated. Organizers reserve the right to remove any participant who does not follow these guidelines.

    4. Safety and Supervision
    Workshop facilitators and staff will provide supervision during the scheduled workshop hours only. Parents/guardians are responsible for participants before and after the workshop unless otherwise specified.

    5. Media Consent
    Photos or videos may be taken during the workshop for promotional, educational, or documentation purposes. By participating, the participant and their parent/guardian consent to the possible use of these images by the organizing organization unless they notify staff in advance that they wish to opt out.

    6. Personal Belongings
    Participants are responsible for their own personal items. The organizing organization is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged belongings.

    7. Health and Accessibility
    Participants should inform organizers in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or accessibility needs so appropriate accommodations can be considered where possible.

    8. Liability
    Participation in the workshop is voluntary. The organizing organization, its staff, and facilitators are not responsible for injuries or damages that may occur during participation, except where required by law.

    9. Changes or Cancellation
    The organizer reserves the right to modify the schedule, facilitators, or workshop format, or to cancel the workshop if necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.

    10. Agreement
    By registering for or attending the workshop, the participant and their parent/guardian confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
