  • 2026 - Virginia State Council of the Emergency Nurses Association Delegate Application

  • The 2026 General Assembly will be held in Phoenix on Sept. 27 from 7:30 a.m. to noon and Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the North Ballroom of the Phoenix Convention Center.


    To be eligible to serve as a delegate for the Virginia State Council of the Emergency Nurses Association, the applicant MUST meet the following criteria:

    • Current member of the Virginia State Council (Virginia ENA).
    • Current unrestricted RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or District of Columbia, or hold a compact unrestricted multi-state license that includes Virginia or DC.
    • Currently practicing in either Virginia or DC, or is retired.
    • Active within the ENA at the state, special interest group, or national level.

    Ensure all areas on the application are completed and signed as required.

    Incomplete and Late applications WILL NOT be considered.

  • Delegate Selection:

    Delegates to represent the Virginia ENA will be selected by the current Virginia ENA Board of Directors, guided by the points value system in this application. Each delegate will be awarded delegate funding, as determined by the 2026 budget and financial status of the council when selected. **DELEGATES MUST FOLLOW THE REIMBURSEMENT PROCEDURES OUTLINED IN THE VIRGINIA ENA PROCEDURES** Full disclosure of ALL fundings sources MUST be provided when requesting reimbursement.

    Delegate Responsibilities:

    The expectations and responsibilities of each delegate include, but are not limited to:

    • MANDATORY IN-PERSON attendance at the SEPTEMBER 4, 2026 Virginia State Council meeting that is scheduled prior to General Assembly (GA) to review and discuss proposed Bylaw Amendments and Resolutions.
    • Completes the GA delegate orientation as required by ENA with the certificate of completion sent to Virginia ENA President.
    • MUST attend ALL GA proceedings.
  • I have read, understand and agree to all information regarding delegate selection and delegate responsibilities. I understand that failure to abide by the outlined responsibilities/failure to attend all sessions of the general assembly proceedings will result in NO REIMBURSEMENT.*
  • If selected as a delegate, the Virginia State Council will provide you with two delegate shirts (color and style to be determined by the Virginia State Council Board of Directors).  Please mark what size you prefer so that the shirts can be ordered as soon as the delegate announcement is made (sizing listed below is based on previous shirt styles and may be subject to change).
