2026 AUSA Board Election: Nomination Form

Compulsory Candidate Briefing Information
Authority: Pursuant to clause 15 of the Election Regulations, the Returning Officer requires all candidates to attend a compulsory candidate briefing as a condition of their nomination. Where a candidate fails to attend a compulsory briefing without being excused in writing by the Returning Officer, the Returning Offficer may treat their nomination as withdrawn.

The granting of any alternative arrangements will be at the discretion of the Returning Officer.
Conditions: The compulsory candidate briefings will be conducted virtually via Zoom. To be considered as having "attended", candidates must be online during the entire session, with their camera turned on to demonstrate their presence.

If you believe you may have difficulty meeting these conditions, it is your responsibility to manage this.

Only candidates and election personnel are permitted to attend these briefings.

I am nominating for 1 (one) of 10 (ten) vacancies for the position of Student Elected Director on the AUSA Board commencing 1 June 2026;I meet the eligibility criteria set out in Rule 17 of the AUSA Constitution that enables me to nominate;I am not disqualified from managing a corporation, within the meaning of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth);I have not been disqualified by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commissioner at any time during the previous year from being a Responsible Person (what the ACNC Act calls a ‘responsible entity’) of a registered charity.I consent for the Returning Officer and AUSA CEO (as applicable) to request information from the Univeristy or other agency to validate my claims regarding eligibility;If elected, I give the AUSA CEO an unfettered right during the time I hold any office on the AUSA Board to request information from the University or other agency to ensure I am eligible to hold such position; andAll information I have supplied in this form has been given honestly and freely and I understand that any false, misleading, or deceptive information may invalidate my nomination.
